20 video effects, one prompt each

Every effect from the reel, ready to paste into Claude. Attach your own clip, copy a prompt, and ask for the finished MP4.

How to use these

  1. Open Claude and make sure Code execution and file creation is turned on in Settings.
  2. Attach a vertical clip of yourself talking (9:16, ideally 1080 × 1920).
  3. Copy a prompt below, swap the highlighted [brackets] for your own words or numbers, and send.

These are starting points. Expect to ask for a tweak or two, like moving a card or changing the timing. Use your own numbers on the stat cards, not someone else’s.

Export line: Export a 1080×1920, 30 fps MP4. Keep my original audio, and don’t color-grade my footage.

The 6 effects in the reel

In the order they appear in the video.

1.Match Cut

/match-cut

Zooms through a newspaper page into one highlighted word, then cuts to you.

Build a match-cut intro using Python and ffmpeg. Render a newspaper-style page: off-white paper, a bold serif font, about 18 lines of text, with the word [Claude] sitting inside a red highlight box. Animate the camera from a wide view of the page to a tight close-up of that word over 2 seconds, accelerating as it goes. As the zoom lands, blur everything except the word (a radial depth-of-field look). Add light paper grain and a soft vignette, then hard-cut into my attached clip.

2.Shutter Strike

/shutter-strike

Photo cards snap in like a camera shutter above your talking head.

Make a split screen from my attached clip. The bottom half is my clip cropped so my face is centered. The top half is a light background with a faint grid. Snap in 4 cards one at a time, 0.25 s apart, each with a quick white camera-flash and a small overshoot: a calendar card that says [October 2026], two photo cards made from stills of my clip (one grayscale with a red marker circle), and a pale green card that says [All you need] above three small app tiles. Give each card a slight rotation and a soft shadow.

3.Screen Push Digital

/screen-push-digital

Glowing dot-matrix words push across a dark LED screen.

Create a dot-matrix LED title sequence. Dark background with faint horizontal scanlines and a grid of unlit dots. Show the words [All / effects / made / with / one / prompt.] one at a time, about 0.37 s each, drawn as glowing light-gray dots with a soft bloom. Each new word pushes in from the right while the previous one slides out to the left (0.16 s ease-out), and the active word slowly scales up by 5%.

4.Liquid Glass Graph

/liquid-glass-graph

A frosted glass card with a live graph floats in front of your chest.

Over my attached clip, add a frosted “liquid glass” card at chest height, about 70% of the frame width. Blur and slightly darken whatever is behind it, give it rounded corners and a thin white border at 45% opacity. Inside the card: a small monospace label [RETENTION] at top left, a big bold number at top right that counts from [12] to [62]%, and a green line chart that draws from left to right with a glowing dot at its tip and a soft green fill underneath. The card scales in from 90%. Put a bold white caption [liquid glass effect] just above it, then switch it to [with one prompt] halfway through.

5.Screen Push

/screen-push

Particles pour into a box on top while you resolve from halftone dots below.

Make a split screen. Top half: light background with a faint grid and an empty black-outlined box. Red particles pour in from the top center and pack into the box from the bottom up in a hexagonal pattern over 2 seconds, with a few spilling around the rim. Label the box 01, 02 and 03 in small red monospace, write [give it enough] under it in bold red, then pop in the word [detail] bigger with an overshoot. Bottom half: my attached clip cropped to my face, which starts as a coarse halftone dot pattern and resolves into normal video within the first 0.5 s.

6.Over-the-Shoulder Zoom

/over-the-shoulder-zoom

Proof cards pop up beside your head, with a punch-in zoom between them.

On my attached clip, add white proof cards that pop in beside my head with a slight overshoot. First card on the left at 0.15 s: small red label [TAUGHT], big bold number [2,500+], gray subtext [students]. At 1.0 s, do a fast punch-in zoom from 1.06× to 1.22× in 0.2 s, anchored just right of my face, and swap to a second card on the right: [FOLLOWED BY] / [80,000+] / [people]. Rounded corners and a soft shadow on both. Bold white caption on my chest that changes from [over-the-shoulder zoom effect] to [with one prompt] at the punch.

14 more from the grid

The other tiles in the “Effect of the Day” grid.

7.Spotlight Vignette

A soft spotlight follows your face and darkens everything else.

Add a spotlight to my attached clip. Detect my face on every frame with OpenCV, smooth the position over time so it never jitters, and darken everything outside a soft oval around my face to about 15% brightness with a wide feathered edge.

8.Stat Pop

A small chip with a number pops up beside your head on a loop.

On my attached clip, pop a small white rounded chip that says [↗ 4K] beside my head every [1.6] seconds. It scales from 50% to 100% with a slight overshoot in 0.25 s, in bold dark text. Place it at the upper right of my face so it never covers my eyes.

9.PiP Headline

Blurred background, a stacked headline label and a small picture-in-picture of you.

Turn my attached clip into a headline layout. The full-frame background is my clip, blurred and darkened to about 55%. Near the top, a red label [20 video effects] stacked over a dark label [Claude can create]. In the middle, a small picture-in-picture of the sharp clip with a white border and rounded corners that gently bobs up and down.

10.Zoom-Through Title

A numbered title card that the camera zooms straight through.

Make a numbered title card intro. Pale green background with a white rounded card that has a thin red border and reads [#1] above [Zoom through cut]. The card breathes slightly for 1.5 s, then the camera zooms straight through it (scale up to 4× in 0.4 s while it fades out) and lands on my attached clip.

11.Search Bar Type-On

A white search pill types out a phrase at the bottom of the frame.

Add a white search pill near the bottom of my attached clip, above the bottom 350 px so the Reels UI doesn’t cover it. It types out [Find the hook] one character every 0.12 s, with a small orange send dot on the right end.

12.Corner Counter

A big percentage counts up in the corner over a soft dark gradient.

Darken the lower half of my attached clip with a soft vertical gradient, and add a big bold white percentage in the lower right that counts up smoothly from [12] to [87]% over the length of the clip.

13.Comment Stack

A dark live-comment feed where everyone types the same keyword.

Create a dark comment-feed animation. Each row has a colored avatar circle, a small gray username and the word [STACK] in bold white. New rows appear one by one from the bottom every 0.45 s, pushing older ones up, like live comments. Use made-up usernames, not real accounts.

14.Doc Rise

A document card and a GUIDE pill slide up in front of you.

Over my attached clip, slide a white document card up from the bottom: a red title bar, then a few gray lines of placeholder text, with a dark [GUIDE] pill underneath it. Ease out over 0.6 s so it looks like I’m presenting a guide.

15.Phone Drop

A phone mockup playing your clip drops in and bounces.

Make a frame with a light gray top area and a dark bottom area. A phone mockup with my attached clip playing inside it drops in from above and lands in the center of the light area with a small bounce.

16.Chart Split

A live bar chart on top, your face on the bottom.

Make a split screen. The top half is a light panel with a horizontal bar chart in red, green and blue segments whose bars grow and shift smoothly, plus a short bold caption [and now it] under the chart. The bottom half is my attached clip cropped to my face.

17.Follow Tag

A lower-third with your handle and a Follow button slides up.

Slide a translucent dark lower-third pill up from the bottom of my attached clip: a small avatar circle, my handle [@yourhandle] in bold white and an outlined [Follow] button. Ease out in 0.3 s and keep it above the bottom 350 px so the Reels UI doesn’t cover it.

18.Timer Chip Walkthrough

A cursor glides through an app menu with a timer chip on top.

Make a light app-walkthrough screen: a sidebar menu with [New chat], [Projects], [Artifacts], [Code], [Customize] and [More], a dark timer chip [00:10] at the top with the text [the Code button] next to it, and a cursor that glides to [Code] and highlights that row.

19.Code Scroll

Colorful abstract code scrolls by under a ticking counter.

Make a light card filled with colorful, abstract syntax-highlight bars (like lines of code) scrolling up steadily, with a dark rounded counter chip at the top that ticks up from [13,479]. It should feel like code is being written live.

20.Bold Caption

Heavy white captions, two or three words at a time.

Add bold white captions to my attached clip, two or three words at a time, for example [This is] then [the one.]. Center them on my chest, use a heavy weight with a soft dark shadow so they read on any background, and time them to my speech if the clip has audio.
