Power BI & Tableau best practice
Tool-specific habits that separate clean reports from cluttered ones.
The principles
- 1 Power BI — kill the default theme — fix fonts, turn off auto-colour, align to a grid.
- 2 Tableau — lead with the question; use “Show Me” as a guide, not a crutch.
- 3 Both — fewer colours, sorted bars, real titles. The principles don’t change.
