SORT: sort by two keys

Mrs. Lestari, an 8th-grade homeroom teacher, combined practical exam scores from two classes. For the announcement she wants a list sorted by class (8A first, then 8B), with the highest score on top within each class.

Task

In E2, write one SORT formula over A2:C9 that sorts by class (column 2) from A to Z, then by score (column 3) from highest to lowest. The result spills into E2:G9.

Hint 1
SORT in Google Sheets takes pairs: SORT(range, sort_column, is_ascending, sort_column2, is_ascending2).
Hint 2
TRUE means ascending (A to Z, small to large), FALSE means descending.
Hint 3
The first pair is for column 2, the second pair for column 3.

Explanation

=SORT(A2:C9,2,TRUE,3,FALSE) sorts by class ascending first, then rows within the same class by score descending. Column numbers count from the first column of the range, not from column A of the sheet. In Excel, SORT uses 1/-1 and several keys must be written as array constants; in Google Sheets, SORT takes several column pairs with TRUE/FALSE directly.
