Tour the interface

The three views and the panes you’ll use every day.

  1. Step 1: Find the three view icons on the left: Report, Table (data), and Model.

  2. Step 2: On the right, note the three panes: Visualizations, Data (formerly called Fields), and Filters.

  3. Step 3: The top ribbon holds the Home, Insert, Modeling and View tabs — your main toolbox.

  4. Step 4: The big empty area is the report canvas, where your visuals will live.

    Tip: Press Ctrl + scroll to zoom the canvas; use View → Page view → Fit to page to fit the page to your screen.
