UPPER & LEFT: destination city codes

Yudi runs a small courier service in Surabaya. On each parcel sack he writes a destination city code: the first 3 letters of the city name, always in capitals. The problem is that the city names in the order data are typed in mixed case.

Task

Fill B2:B7 with the city code: the first 3 letters of the city name in column A, all in capitals. Use LEFT and UPPER.

Write it in B2, then fill down to B7.

Explanation

=UPPER(LEFT(A2,3)) works from the inside out: LEFT takes "sur" from "surabaya", then UPPER turns it into "SUR". The reverse order, =LEFT(UPPER(A2),3), gives the same result. There are three case functions: UPPER (all capitals), LOWER (all lowercase), and PROPER (a capital at the start of each word).
